When Does My Child Attend Kindergarten?

Starting Age:
– Pre-Kinder is available for children who are at least 3 years old by 30 April 2025.

– Kinder is available for children who are at least 4 years old by 30 April 2025.

Start Date:
The Kinder program runs alongside Victoria’s school terms, with Term 1 starting on 27 January 2025.

How Many Days a Week:
Our Kinder program operates Monday to Friday, with each child needing to attend at least 15 hours per week (usually across 3 days). You can also book additional days flexibly to suit your needs.

Enrolment Cut-off Date:
To secure your spot, enrolment must be completed before 27 January 2025—but we recommend enrolling as early as possible, as spots fill quickly.

Mid-Year Enrolment:
While children can enrol anytime during the year, it’s recommended that they complete a full year of Kinder before starting formal schooling.

So, When Does My Child Start School?

Children who turn 5 by 30th April 2026 are eligible to start school in 2026.

How Much Does Kinder Cost?

Thanks to the VIC Government funding program, you could save up to approxmatly $2,100 per child each year (eligibility criteria apply). The exact savings depend on your family’s circumstances.
